If anyone who has the Tekkonkinkreet on Blu-Ray, can please tell us what is in the deleted scenes section?
I've been wanting to get it, but I don't have a Blu-R reader, or a disc reader at all xD
Puh-lease? *w*

be happy, be happy

So I'm a languageophile, and I have a strange question. It seems that "be happy, be happy" in Japanese directly translates to "shiawase ni naru" or "幸せになる、幸せになる"

Could it be that he's using the "shiawase ni naru" and then the shi from "shiwase"?

Does anyone have scans of the original Japanese characters?

Whatever White says doesn't sound like that at all to me. If I were to write it down, it would be "anshii, anshii" or even "anshing," which sounds more Chinese to me.
I'm thinking that obviously, with the way White speaks, it's a sort of childish pronunciation.

The only other thing that seems to come close that I can think of is "glad" or "ureshii." So maybe he's saying " 'reshii"?

Haha, that's my ramblings about it. Basically, does anyone know what he's REALLY saying, and can they give me a spelling/Japanese characters/&c.? Anything at all would be great. Even a different English translation.

Fic! Taking a chance

I'm not sure how often people still check this page out, if they do at all, but I've really enjoyed it so far. I just discovered Tekkonkinkreet a few weeks ago, and fell in love with it.

I've written something, which has been my first completed piece of writing in months, so here it is, and I hope that you enjoy it.

Summary Takes place somewhere in between the last few scenes of the film. Black and White battle their inner demons and try to learn to be with each other, after everything.

PLEASE read and review. There's nothing like getting tons of visits to a story and no reviews. That's why we post our work. Otherwise it would just sit on our harddrives. It's HUGELY appreciated.
